New Petroleum Engineering Coordinator

On January 16, Dr. Enrique Alejandro González Torres, head of the Earth Sciences Engineering Division (DICT), appointed Dr. Teodoro Iván Guerrero Sarabia as the new person in charge of coordinating Petroleum Engineering in place of Dr. Ana Paulina Gómora Figueroa.

In his message, the head of the DICT thanked Dr. Gómora for her invariable institutional support during 13 months, time in which she developed all her activities with deep commitment and responsibility, always oriented to improve the services of the coordination, and exemplified the record number of graduates in the last year.

"It has been a privilege to collaborate with you and I wish you the greatest success in your new projects", he said.

He recalled that this career is the third largest by the number of students (about one thousand five hundred) and commented that at present it is necessary to work multidisciplinary in all fields creating bridges between different careers and areas:

"As we team up with students, teachers, researchers and officials will achieve new goals and create more ambitious projects."

Dr. Guerrero Sarabia assured him that he has all the support of the Division to carry out all his activities, continue with the plans initiated and strengthen the daily work.

For her part, Dr. Gómora acknowledged the support of the DICT and the coordination staff:

"I think there is a lot of talent here, I am sure they will continue to reap fruits in terms of research, academic work and qualifications; I wish the new head every success", she concluded.

Finally, the new person in charge committed himself to continue with the work of the doctor and to strengthen the area with the help of his collaborators.
